Neukloster. Mit großer Bestürzung haben die katholischen Gläubigen in Mecklenburg die Nachricht vom plötzlichen Tod ihres beliebten Seelsorgers Stephan Beyrau zur Kenntnis genommen. Als Pastor war er zuletzt an vielen Orten tätig, die im Umfeld von Rostock liegen: Neubukow, Satow, Kröpelin, Tessin, Petschow, Bad Doberan, Kühlungsborn, Ribnitz, Graal-Müritz und Marlow.

AbstractHuman-driven extinction threatens entire lineages across the Tree of Life. Here we assess the conservation status of jawed vertebrate evolutionary history, using three policy-relevant approaches. First, we calculate an index of threat to overall evolutionary history, showing that we expect to lose 86–150 billion years (11–19%) of jawed vertebrate evolutionary history over the next 50–500 years.

Jenny Erpenbeck, a writer and an opera director, was born in East Berlin in 1967. Her fiction includes The Old Child and Other Stories (2005), Visitation (2011), The End of Days (2014), winner of the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize, and Go, Went, Gone (2017). She has also published plays and Not a Novel: A Memoir in Pieces (2020). THE STORY: Katharina is a dreamy theater design student; Hans is a debonair, controlling writer, who remains haunted by his family's wartime complicity.
