Great Kills will now move on to play top-seeded South Shore Thursday, with the winner earning a right to play in the District championship game. South Shore beat GK, 16-2, in their only round-robin meeting.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Staten Island athletes capped their seasons in a big way this past weekend, as several individuals and relay squads delivered borough-best performances at the Adidas Track Nationals in Greensboro, N.C., and New Balance Nationals Outdoor in Philadelphia. Susan Wagner’s Jeremy Walters followed up his runner-up finish in the 400-meter hurdles at the NY State Federation meet by winning the emerging elite 110-meter hurdles at Adidas Nationals with a time of 14.35 seconds.

NEW YORK, N.Y. — The Knicks have formally interviewed Micah Nori, the lead assistant coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves since the 2021–2022 season, as a potential replacement for Tom Thibodeau as head coach, ESPN reported Tuesday. Nori now joins Mike Brown, who served as head coach of the Sacramento Kings from 2022 to 2024, and Taylor Jenkins, most recently the head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies, as the third candidate to formally interview for the vacancy.
