Peel Regional Police are trying to identify a man after reports he was taking photographs and approaching children at a park in Brampton earlier this month. Police received two separate reports in early June about the same elderly man at a park near 590 North Park Drive. “On both occasions, the man allegedly asked the children where they lived and whether they wanted to go with him,” a police release states.

A woman in her 20s has been charged after Ontario Provincial Police allege she fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a pond. It happened in the Highway 401/407 area of Mississauga on Friday afternoon. The woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries. She’s facing one count of careless driving. Summer in Ontario is getting off to a blistering start with the season’s first heat wave looming in the forecast. Environment Canada says temperatures are expected to top 30 degrees Sunday through at least Tuesday across much of southern and eastern Ontario. Meteorologist Steven Flisfeder says it could feel more like the upper 30s or low 40s with the humidex.

Toronto Police are trying to track down a suspect in a series of robberies connected to online sales. Investigators say Rayman Zen, 20, of Toronto, responded to social media posts about items for sale between April and June 2025. Zen then allegedly agreed to meet the sellers at locations throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) to purchase the items. Instead, police contend he robbed the sellers.

A man who was arrested at the Peace Bridge in Buffalo, New York, with $230,000 worth of marijuana in a rental truck told authorities he inadvertently ended up at the border crossing after following erroneous GPS directions on his phone. In a release, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said officers discovered three boxes filled with vacuum-sealed packages of weed in a rental truck driven by a U.S. citizen on June 15.
