SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) - All Tesla electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at rest stops along the New Jersey Turnpike have been disconnected, as the company that manages the service plazas has entered the EV charging business. State Sen. John Burzichelli, a Democrat, said drivers are caught in the middle of the struggle between Tesla and Applegreen, the turnpike service plaza provider. Applegreen manages everything but gasoline at rest stops, and now it has its own universal EV chargers.

Several of the region's elite players are in exclusive company. A committee of coaches voted to recognize nine players from Section 1 as USA Lacrosse All-Americans on Thursday, adding them to a list of standouts from local CHSAA and NYSAIS schools. It's recognition that only some 500 players across the country receive.

TRENTON, N.J. ( KYW Newsradio) - With energy prices in New Jersey still climbing, Governor Phil Murphy announced a plan Thursday to put some money back in people's pockets over the summer. Alongside the Senate President and Assembly Speaker, Murphy laid the blame for rising costs on the multistate PJM Interconnection grid. The plan could see families save as much as $250 on their energy bill.

CAMDEN, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) - The section of Haddon Avenue in Camden's Parkside neighborhood is one of the most well-traveled roads in the area and it's been in long need of a facelift. Camden County Commissioner Al Dyer said a new $17 million investment in the road will completely transform the neighborhood. "This reconstruction will include new curbs, sidewalks, ADA accessible ramps and driveways, traffic signal upgrades, sewer system lining, and water main service replacements," he said.
