SetNumber: X59528 According to college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, Louisville and Cincinnati are set to renew their decades-long hoops rivalry with a pair of games scheduled for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 seasons. The scheduling news comes with a catch. This season’s game will reportedly be played at the “neutral” site of Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, with the return game in 2026 being played at the “neutral” site of Freedom Hall in Louisville.

From U of L:University of Louisville men’s basketball will host Memphis on Saturday, December 13 in the KFC Yum! Center, beginning a six-year series with the Tigers. Louisville will travel to the FedExForum to play at Memphis in 2026-27.

The conference had played a 20-game league schedule since the 2019-20 season, a move that seemed destined to stick following last year’s additions of SMU, Stanford and California. And yet, here we are. Where we are is uncharted territory for the ACC.

The NBA Draft prospect camp will be held May 9-11 in Chicago at Wintrust Arena. The camp provides the opportunity to draft prospects to showcase their skills in front of NBA and NBA G League scouts, coaches and front office executives.

—The ACC is returning to an 18-game conference schedule for men’s basketball next season. All teams will play 16 opponents once and one opponent twice. —USA Today has a post-spring ranking of all 136 FBS programs. Louisville sits at No. 16. —The ACC is hopeful that a new stable of coaches will spark a resurgence for the conference. Only four ACC teams made the NCAA Tournament, and UNC’s inclusion in the First Four was plenty controversial.

It’s the earliest in a season that the game has ever taken place, and just the second time ever that the game has been played in November (Nov. 27, 1993). The tip-off time for the game and its TV designation will be announced at a later date. Let’s get this out out of the way immediately: This is weird.

GoCards.com The Louisville baseball team took advantage of a number of Vanderbilt miscues to top their rivals, 5-4, in the annual Battle of the Barrel game Tuesday night at Jim Patterson Stadium. The victory snapped a two-game losing streak for the Cardinals in the series. The 10th-ranked Commodores committed three critical errors, two in what would prove to be a decisive three-run sixth inning for U of L. Lucas Moore was the offensive hero, going 2-for-4 at the dish and driving in three runs.
