Conestoga College says some of its campuses will be moving to a four-day week for its summer semester. The school did not explain what prompted the decision but touted the benefits to both students and the college. “Student timetables have been developed so that our students are able to benefit, as much as possible, from four-day schedules,” they said in a statement emailed to CTV News.

(WXIX) - Power is expected to be out for hours Thursday at the Bellevue Kroger store and a handful of neighboring businesses due to an overnight crash into a Duke Energy pole, according to Bellevue police and the utility’s website. It happened at 2:30 a.m. on Donnermeyer Road, police tell FOX19 NOW. This is their accounting of the incident:There was no police chase. A suspected drunk driver saw a police cruiser and immediately fled on Donnermeyer Road.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A horse-drawn caisson from the Butler County Sheriff’s Office will pull the casket of Hamilton County Deputy Sheriff Larry Henderson to its final resting spot in Spring Grove Cemetery, Sheriff Richard Jones tells FOX19 NOW. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office reached out to Sheriff Jones’ staff this week seeking the use of their custom-made wagon. It replicates ones used to carry soldiers to their graves at Arlington National Cemetery.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Cincinnati police are investigating an early morning shooting in Walnut Hills. Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1100 block of Yale Avenue shortly before 4:30 a.m. Wednesday. A 19-year-old man was shot in the back of his right shoulder, said Lt. Jonathan Cunningham, police spokesman. He is undergoing treatment for his non-life-threatening injury at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, according to the lieutenant. No one has been arrested.

HAMILTON, Ohio (WXIX) - A Hamilton County deputy killed in the line of duty last week and a Butler County corrections lieutenant who died after contracting COVID-19 are among those who will be honored Thursday at the state’s annual ceremony for fallen officers. Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, members of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission and law enforcement statewide will gather to pay tribute to than 840 Ohio peace officers who have died in the line of duty since 1823.
