Victor Luna hit his opening tee shot just a few yards past the first green as he and his foursome were among the first golfers to officially reopen the Campus Commons Golf Course after a nearly five-year-long closure in Sacramento. The city of Sacramento is attracting international interest about its social economy strategies aimed at creating a safe and vibrant nighttime economy. "I think Sacramento has kind of been slept on," said Tina Lee-Vogt, the ity of Sacramento's nighttime economy manager. More than 1,100 representatives from 232 cities and 13 countries have registered for the 2025 Sociable City Academy and Summit, which began Wednesday morning inside the Memorial Auditorium.
