AbstractWang et al. in Nature Cancer report ZYS-1 as an ADAR1 inhibitor and present biochemical and cellular evidence to support ZYS-1's direct interaction with and inhibition of ADAR1, including enzymatic assays, surface plasmon resonance (SPR), drug affinity responsive target stability (DARTS), and cellular thermal shift assays (CETSA). We raise critical methodological concerns regarding the validation of ZYS-1 as a bona fide ADAR1 inhibitor.

AbstractDry eye disease (DED) is a prevalent inflammatory condition significantly impacting quality of life, yet lacks effective pharmacological therapies. Herein, we proposed a novel approach to modulate the inflammation through metabolic remodeling, thus promoting dry eye recovery. Our study demonstrated that co-treatment with mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and thymosin beta-4 (Tβ4) yielded the best therapeutic outcome against dry eye, surpassing monotherapy outcomes.

IntroductionRapeseed is the largest oil crop in China and plays an important role in ensuring the security of the edible oil supply, but the problem of high losses during rapeseed mechanized harvesting is prominent currently [1,2,3,4,5,6]. The high loss rate is an important reason why it is difficult to promote domestic rapeseed harvesting machines at present, and it is also a major problem that hinders the mechanization process of rapeseed harvesting in China.

AbstractCo-upcycling of mixed plastics offers a viable approach to reusing carbon resources in plastic wastes and realizing circular economy. However, the presence of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) often complicates the co-upcycling processes, because chlorine (Cl) released from PVC can deactivate catalysts and enter final products. Moreover, existing plastic upcycling processes usually require harsh reaction conditions.
