Bhubaneswar: The capital city on Monday recorded a maximum temperature of 39.6 degrees Celsius, slightly lower than Balasore, which recorded the highest of 39.8C, with the oppressive heat and humidity affecting residents. The temperature was 33C at 8:30 am on Monday, with relative humidity at 55.4%. As the day progressed, the temperature rose, and by 11.30 am, the city recorded 37.4C, which was one degree more than the temperature at that time on the previous day.
