LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Early Wednesday morning, June 18, a group of Paisanos — Mexican nationals living in the U.S. — crossed into Mexico through Laredo’s Bridge II, beginning their summer journey to visit family back home. Unlike the larger winter caravan, which draws thousands of travelers, city officials say the summer group is smaller, with about 150 to 200 vehicles expected to make the trip. Most are families driving south to see loved ones during the school break.

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Shortly before 10 p.m. on Monday, June 2, Laredo firefighters received a call about a house fire on the 1800 block of Juarez Ave. The Laredo Fire Department reported discovering a house with flames erupting from the living room area. Fortunately, no one was inside at the time of the fire, and the blaze was reported by nearby residents. The homeowner returned to find damage in that area, as well as smoke and heat damage throughout the rest of the house.
