The Republican-backed bill marked a significant victory as the House approved the controversial Senate bill with a vote of 88 to 49 on Saturday, May 24. Representatives Richard Pena Raymond and Don McLaughlin voted in favor of the bill.

The Laredo Convention and Visitors Bureau kicked off National Travel and Tourism Week by sharing how important travel is to the city. As of 2024, travel helped create more than 5,500 jobs in Laredo and brought in over $189 million in earnings.

RIO BRAVO, Tex. (KGNS) - Drivers in Rio Bravo may notice smoother roads soon. On Wednesday, April 30, work crews started repaving parts of the city, including Centeno Lane. The work began around 9 a.m.In March, city leaders said they planned to fix the main roads. Since then, they’ve been checking for damage and planning the repairs. Mayor Amanda Perez Aguero says drivers should expect some road closures while work is done.
