    A proposed exotic animals’ exhibition on River Road and two proposed solar facilities in northern Halifax County are on the agenda for Tuesday evening’s joint meeting of the planning commission and board of supervisors. The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the supervisors’ meeting room in the county administrative building, 1050 Mary Bethune St., Halifax. Public hearings will be held on each of the conditional use permit applications prior to the planning commission’s vote on them.

    Residents and property owners in the Wolf Trap area of Halifax County voiced complaints about a gun range in the area at Monday evening’s board of supervisors meeting. The gun range is located on the Ken Warfield of Warfield Investigative Services, LLC. Michael Brandon was the first person who raised concerns about the gun range in his rural residential community. Brandon stated that he lives within 800 yards of the gun range.
