MIDTOWN, NY — Police were searching Wednesday for a man who punched a 67-year-old woman in the face inside a Midtown train station, New York City Police Department officials said. According to the NYPD, the woman was standing on the downtown-bound D train platform at the 47-50 Streets Rockefeller Center station back on April 30 at 4:30 a.m. when the perpetrator started an argument with the victim. The victim was standing near the Sixth Avenue and West 47th Street entrance, police said.

In Councilmember Gale Brewer's district, which includes Hell's Kitchen, part of Midtown, Central Park, and most of the Upper West Side, more than 4,000 people voted, Brewer said. In her district, most of the funding, which totaled $1,060,000, was allocated to public schools in the area.
