Just over a week ago, the Zimbabwe Union of Journalists (ZUJ) held a meeting to discuss the state of journalism in the country, where the guest of honour was the Information minister Jenfan Muswere. George Maponga, the ZUJ president, laid into Muswere, saying that while the minister “seemed progressive,” there was little in the way of positive outcomes for journalists.

Zimbabwean author and public speaker Kudakwashe Muganu has been nominated for the Emerge Africa Awards to be held in Midrand, South Africa in April. The certified life coach, philanthropist, and entrepreneur is competing for the Best Motivational Speaker award against Mohamed Talk. He shared his excitement exclusively with Standard Style. “I am very excited to be nominated and recognised on this prestigious platform in South Africa,” Muganu said.
