This week, we spoke with Edward Maxwell, a man who has lived through the challenges of homelessness and addiction. Maxwell's life took a turn for the worse in 2019 after his brother was killed in Pima County Jail. "It just... I slipped into darkness," said Maxwell. He struggled to cope and turned to meth, eventually losing his job and home.

This bill aims to expand court-ordered stabilization for those dealing with drug addiction.
