Lake City-based Blackwater Development LLC announced April 9 that it closed on the purchase of the mall property at 9501 Arlington Expressway. Deeds recorded with the Duval County Clerk of Court on April 10 show a sale price of $19.1 million.

    Charleys Cheesesteaks & Wings said it will open its eighth Northeast Florida store April 11 at 1401 Dunn Ave. in North Jacksonville. The Charleys is in the former Country Cabin Restaurant space in The Shopping Place center west of Interstate 95. The center is anchored by tenants including Total Wireless, Value Pawn and Beauty Exchange. The restaurant is owned by Maged Ebied, who owns six other Charleys in Jacksonville and St. Augustine, Charleys said in an April 7 news release.
