TOWN OF CORNING, Wis. - A 48-year-old Merrill man was found dead in the township of Corning, west of Merrill, on Tuesday. The man was identified as John Stevenson. The Lincoln County Dispatch Center was called in for a missing person check shortly after 6 p.m. after the man had not shown up for work. 25-year-old Austin Stevenson is in custody, and is expected to be charged with first-degree intentional homicide in Lincoln County Court Wednesday afternoon.

EAGLE RIVER, Wis. - The Vilas County snowmobile trails will re-open on Friday, March 7 at 8 a.m.The 11 county snowmobile clubs agreed with the County that the trails are safe to re-open after the big snowfall of between 10-12 inches of snow from Tuesday-Wednesday. Iron County also re-opened the county's snowmobile trails on Thursday at 7 a.m.Snowmobile trails are currently closed in other northern Wisconsin counties, but clubs are hopeful to reopen before the winter is over.

HAZELHURST, Wis. - A 22-year-old snowmobile driver was found unconscious on a snowmobile trail in Hazelhurst Tuesday morning. The injured Minocqua man who was airlifted from the scene is Jake P. Van Hefty. The crash occurred on McCormick Lake, in the Town of Hazelhurst. A 911 call came in around 8:40 a.m. when the caller found the driver on the trail. The man was airlifted by a helicopter to an area hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries. The Wisconsin DNR is investigating the incident.

A 911 call came in around 8:40 a.m. when the caller found the driver on the trail. The accident happened near McCormick Lake, near Pickles Bar and Grill. The man was airlifted by a helicopter to an area hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries. The Wisconsin DNR is investigating the incident.

MERRILL, Wis. - A Merrill man has died after being hit by a car on State Highway 107 in Merrill Monday night. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office responded to a call around 8:47 p.m. on the highway near Snow Road, just west of the city of Merrill. The 30-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene. The highway was closed for around five hours while the crash was investigated.
