MEDFORD — The Antigo Red Robins baseball team had plenty of reason to be optimistic as it headed to Medford Thursday for a WIAA regional quarterfinal playoff game with its Great Northern Conference rival. Despite two losses to the Raiders this season, Antigo was well-versed on what it needed to do to score a victory.

SEYMOUR -- A pair of six-run innings did in the Antigo Red Robins baseball team Friday, as it dropped a non-conference game at Seymour by a final score of 12-1. The win for the home team continued what has been a strong season, as Seymour improved to 20-3 overall, having already clinched the Bay Conference championship. The Antigo Red Robins baseball team got back on the winning track Thursday, on a blustery day in Crandon the Robins defeated the Cardinals in an 8-5 final, putting the brakes on a three-game losing streak. The game brought with it some added incentive on both sides, as Antigo faced off with the man who led it to the 2019 Division Two State Championship, Scott Farmer, now the head coach at Crandon.

Antigo Red Robins rally to win their hockey opener tonight over Medford, 6-4. Landon Nelson and Eli Kassler net two goals and two assists each, while Nolan Bunnell stops 30 in net, making Brian Bunnell a winner in his debut as head coach. Antigo is at Shawano Tuesday.

Antigo finishes 2-1 in the Gresham boys soccer tournament, falling 3-0 to Clintonville in the de facto championship game.

A good day so far for the Antigo Red Robins boys soccer team at the Gresham Tournament. Antigo defeats Amherst 4-0 & Gresham 3-1. A win against Clintonville in the 2:15 game would clinch the tourney championship.
