The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit North is investigating a suspicious death that happened in Etna.State police investigators were spotted at a home Friday morning.Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said there is no danger to the public and no other information is available.WMTW media partner WABI also contacted Penobscot County Sheriff Troy Morton, who could not confirm or release information at the time. But Morton also said there is no threat to the public.

SOUTH ADDISON, Maine (WABI/Gray News) - Authorities are continuing to search for a father and son fisherman duo after they went missing over the weekend off the coast of Maine. The Maine Marine Patrol said it plans to continue searching for Chester “Chet” Barrett and his son Aaron Barrett. The agency said it will search the shore and water between Lubec and South Addison. The two were reported missing on Saturday evening by a family member after they did not return home.

DEXTER, Maine (WABI) -Dexter Police say there is no threat to the public after reports of a man with a gun at a business on Monday afternoon. Dexter Police Chief Kevin Wintle said Monday on Facebook there was a large police presence in town Monday night that would continue into Tuesday.
