    DENVER (KDVR) — Summit County Sheriff’s Office deputies recovered the body of a person who was reported missing out of Frisco. On Tuesday at around 8:30 a.m., the sheriff’s office posted on Facebook that deputies and the Summit County Rescue Group were at the North 10-Mile Creek Trailhead near Frisco recovering a body. At about 4:30 p.m., the agency provided an update and said the recovery operation had been safely completed.

    DENVER (KDVR) — A reward has increased to $12,000 for information on a February double-homicide and arson investigation in Thornton. On Wednesday, Feb. 26, at around 11:15 p.m., 58-year-old Kendra Anderson and 55-year-old Chad Anderson were found dead inside their home in the 16300 block of Columbine Street. The neighborhood is between East 160th Avenue and York Street. Both victims had died from apparent gunshot wounds, according to Thornton police.

    DENVER (KDVR) — A motorcyclist was arrested for driving 23 mph over the speed limit and fleeing from deputies on a Douglas County road. His arrest was caught on camera. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that a deputy spotted the speeding motorcyclist on May 15 shortly after noon. According to the sheriff’s office, the deputy clocked a white and orange sport bike going 67 mph in a 45 mph zone on University Boulevard.

    DENVER (KDVR) — An elk with a very rare genetic trait has been spotted roaming around Estes Park. On Monday, May 12, Colorado Parks and Wildlife posted photos on Facebook of a unique-looking elk that has been grazing around Estes Park, located just outside of Rocky Mountain National Park. CPW said she has been “catching attention for a bit and for good reason.”According to the department, this isn’t just any elk. She is a piebald cow, or a female elk.
