    ALBAN, Wis. -- (WAOW) The Portage County Sheriff's Office says that a 68 year-old woman has died as a result of a two-vehicle accident in the Town of Alban in Portage County. According to their release, a sedan traveling southbound on CTH I failed to yield from the stop sign before crossing STH 66 towards Saint Adalberts Road. The sedan pulled directly into the path of a west bound SUV. The 68 year-old woman was the driver of the sedan, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

    WAUSAU, Wis. -- (WAOW) Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul came to Wausau West High School to hear directly from students about the issue of school safety, hoping to take their insight, back to Madison. Kaul met with a group of Wausau West students to hear what concerns they had about the safety of their school, and to hear what features they would like to see added to make them feel safer.

    MARATHON COUNTY, Wis. -- (WAOW) Back in September, the North Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Board awarded the Marathon County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Forestry with the Employer Award of Excellence. Parks and recreations officials say they were awarded because of the amount of seasonal workers they were able to hire, and how they developed them.

    WISCONSIN -- (WAOW) Bible Truth Chapel in Wausau is one of many churches across the nation taking toy donations for Samaritan's Purse, and the toys will go directly to kids in third world countries. As a part of Operation Christmas Child, Samaritan's Purse is collecting donations, and Bible Truth is serving as a drop-off location for shoe boxes full of toys.
