Kansas City police say were attempting to arrest an ATV driver Friday night when individuals in a nearby vehicle pointed a weapon at them. Police said the suspects tried to flee but were unable to get away. Four people in the vehicle, including juveniles, were arrested.

    A fire at a Kansas City apartment complex displaced 11 people Sunday evening.The Kansas City Fire Department said crews responded around 7:04 p.m. to reports of a fire at a two-story apartment building in the 1100 block of Hardesty Avenue.Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the structure and began attacking the fire with two hose lines. Crews searched the building and confirmed all residents had safely escaped.

    A motorcyclist was killed Sunday evening in a crash on Merriam Lane, according to the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.KCK police were called to the 1800 block of Merriam Lane around 6:45 p.m. and found a man dead at the scene.Police said the man was heading west on Merriam Lane on a motorcycle when he passed another vehicle and struck an oncoming vehicle turning left onto 18th Street.The KCKPD Traffic Division is investigating.
