PSU Graphic Design Alumni ‘24 Brendan Hanna is an artist specializing in design and screenprinting. Hanna’s work takes on a fast-moving style, blending pop, music and skateboarding culture and spins it into a new form. Hanna grew up in Portland as an artistic child—eagerly engaging in creativity at a young age. Hanna proudly displays the art created over thirty years ago, ranging from elementary to teenage years, when he became involved in graffiti.

There is an eternal battle fought every Halloween, and it has raged since the holiday’s inception. This battle is between werewolves and vampires—two of the most popular and easily recognizable monsters. It’s both a horror and fantasy staple, one that probably started all the way back in the 1948 film Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein. In that movie, The Wolf Man and Dracula face off in a final battle which ends in their mutual destruction.

This deterioration comes amidst a period of high inflation and high interest rates in Canada. According to the analysis, the most common causes of household stress include:lower household income. high levels of debt, low savings rate, unexpected expenses,and sudden changes in economic circumstances.

For most, this simply means their 2022 paper gains have evaporated — but for those who purchased at 2022 peak pricing, and who are forced to sell in the current environment, this can materialize into very large, very real, losses. The Canadian office vacancy rate has reached 17.1% in the first quarter of 2024, up from 16.7% in Q4 2023, according to new data from Cushman & Wakefield. This is the highest vacancy rate ever recorded, surpassing the 16.9% vacancy rate printed in 1992. Drilling down, we find that central Class A vacancy (meaning downtown office space in Canada) was up from 17.1% Q4 2023 to 17.5% in Q1 2024, also the highest level ever recorded.
