NOW IN SACRAMENTO, RIGHT ALONG THE RIVER, POLICE ARE SEARCHING FOR A SUSPECT WHO RAN FROM THE SCENE. THIS IS HAPPENING NEAR MATSUI PARK AGAIN. THIS IS RIGHT ALONG JIBBOOM STREET, WHICH RUNS PARALLEL WITH I-5 VERY CLOSE TO THE SACRAMENTO RIVER. THEY SAY THE SUSPECT APPEARED TO HAVE A HANDGUN, AND THIS IS ALSO CLOSE TO THE MUSEUM OF SCIENCE. MOSAIC POLICE WERE ORIGINALLY RESPONDING TO REPORTS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. THEY’RE ASKING THE PUBLIC TO AVOID THIS AREA NEAR MATSUI PARK AGAIN.
What to know about reservations for Yosemite National Park in 2025

The US National Park Service has laid out a schedule for when you will need a reservation to drive into or through Yosemite this year. On certain days between May 24 and and Sept. 1 the reservation will be required between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. A reservation, if it's required, is in addition to a park entrance pass that you'll have to purchase. Horse racing at Cal Expo set to end this week

Harness racing operations at Cal Expo in Sacramento will shut down for good this Spring, according to a release. The California Exposition and State Fair Board voted to terminate a lease agreement with Watch and Wager, LLC, a company that oversees the Expo's horse racing operations. According to Cal Expo, the agreement will end on May 2, the end of the current harness racing season.

Thousands in Sacramento County impacted by Xfinity outage

An Xfinity outage on Saturday is impacting thousands of customers in Sacramento County, according to the internet provider's service map. The map shows several areas and neighborhoods with more than 2,000 customers currently without service, including downtown, midtown, East Sacramento, Natomas and Elk Grove. According to a note on Xfinity's website, service is expected to be restored for customers by 10:20 p.m. Xfinity has not provided a cause for the outage.

IN STOCKTON, POLICE ARRESTED A MAN ACCUSED OF KIDNAPING A 13 YEAR OLD GIRL AND SEXUALLY ASSAULTING HER. 41 YEAR OLD DENNIS LEE WAS ARRESTED YESTERDAY. ACCORDING TO STOCKTON PD, LEE IS ACCUSED OF APPROACHING THE 13 YEAR OLD NEAR WEST LANE AND THE CALAVERAS RIVER ON TUESDAY AND THEN FORCING HER INTO HIS VEHICLE AND SEXUALLY ASSAULTING HER. THE VICTIM WAS LATER ABLE TO ESCAPE AND CALL FOR HELP. DETECTIVES THEN WORKED TO TRACK DOWN LEE.
