At least three people were injured in a shooting in Davis on Saturday afternoon, according to police. The Davis Police Department said the shooting happened at Community Park around 3 p.m. Saturday is UC Davis Picnic Day, an annual open house celebration for students, applicants, families and alumni that draws thousands of attendees to the area. The university has sent an alert telling people to avoid the park, located on East 14th Street, which is a mile away from campus.
