SEATTLE — Anybody who makes it as a professional athlete has done something that almost every other person will never get to experience. It's incredibly difficult and rare. So, as any family would be, the Sundell family was thrilled when the oldest child, Jalen, was picked up by the Seahawks in 2024 and saw meaningful action on the Hawks' offensive line. A special thing Jalen won't forget, especially as he figures to be in the rotation for the line again in 2025.

It's hard to imagine what a whirlwind week it's been for rookies across the NFL. Consider that, probably 10 days ago, most of them had no idea what was next for them. 257 guys heard their name called, hundreds more signed free agent deals and then it was on to making a dream come true. Making the roster for an NFL team.

SEATTLE — At the start of this offseason, the talk about the Seattle Storm was how they could possibly replace the production of Jewell Loyd, who was traded to Las Vegas. Now, as the offseason wraps up with preseason action ahead this weekend, it's not really a question at all. That's because while you don't replace a lethal scorer like Loyd, you can tweak the look of the team to excel in other ways, which is exactly what the Storm did.

This is one of my favorite stories. The Sundell family is truly incredible. Jalen got the call from the @Seahawks last year and played on the offensive line. This year? Serena was drafted by the @seattlestorm Two siblings Two pro athletes Two sports One town, #Seattle. https://t.co/GTH6Fa6PMY
