The data was collected by the Center for Indian Country Development, which is within the Minneapolis Federal Reserve. It finds that nearly every federally recognized tribe owns businesses and that those businesses are across a wide variety of sectors.

It’s known as the Real ID and has been 20 years in the making. Congress enacted the Real ID Act in 2005 following the Sept. 11 attacks. According to the Department of Vehicle Services, as of April 1, 60 percent of Minnesotans do not have a Real ID.

    NINA MOINI: Today is tax day for Americans. This year marks a shift in policy at the Internal Revenue Service, the IRS, which is responsible for collecting federal taxes. Last week, the Trump administration announced an agreement which allows ICE officials to ask the IRS for personal tax information of undocumented immigrants who are, quote, "under criminal investigation." Several top IRS officials have resigned following the announcement.
