EUGENE, Ore. — April 8 saw a rally outside downtown Eugene's Post Office with workers and supporters calling for the Trump administration to keep its hands off the United States Postal Service. The American Postal Workers Union put on the rally as fears of massive job cuts could be made by Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency increased. EUGENE, Ore.-- Ice cream and other treats took center stage in Oregon State University's newly renovated building that holds the school's winery and creamery research programs. Withycombe Hall was closed for three years as crews worked to renovate the building. Contractors removed everything from inside the building and then put in new walls and eventual equipment, and the renovation racked up a $76 million bill.

EUGENE, Ore. -- A Trainsong neighborhood resident is defending his actions after catching and relocating a wandering baby black bear. The bear was spotted walking through several Eugene neighborhoods before it was taken outside of the city Sunday afternoon. The bear was slightly bigger than a cub but not quite yet juvenile, and south and central Eugene residents were reporting sightings throughout the weekend. Oreon caught the bear after he spotted it roaming through his neighborhood in Trainsong.

Meeting at the Ferry Street Bridge and going all the way down the Eugene City Hall, protestors came in by the thousands to show their displeasure with the current administration. Co-organizer Stan Taylor with the Activists Coalition of Eugene Springfield said they estimate the size of the crowd to be over 3,000 people.
