The Register-Guard

The Register-Guard is a daily publication located in Eugene, Oregon, in the northwestern region of the United States. It came into existence in 1930 when two local newspapers, the Eugene Daily Guard and the Morning Register, merged. This newspaper caters to the communities of Eugene and Springfield, as well as regions like the Oregon Coast, Umpqua River valley, and nearby areas. As of 2019, the reported daily circulation was approximately 18,886 copies. Ownership of The Register-Guard transitioned to The Gannett Company following its merger with GateHouse Media in 2019, having been sold to GateHouse the previous year in 2018.
