    EUGENE, Ore. – A 68-year-old man has been sentenced to more than 56 years in prison after being convicted of several charges of sex abuse crimes perpetrated against two children that were known to him, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office said. According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, back in 2023 detectives began investigating a report of sexual abuse that was referred to them by the Department of Human Services.

    COQUILLE, Ore. – The driver of a pick-up truck that crashed into a bus full of softball team members, killing two, has been charged with numerous crimes including driving under the influence of intoxicants, manslaughter, assault and 14 counts of reckless endangering. At about 9:56 p.m. on April 18, Oregon State Police responded to a reported two-vehicle crash on Highway 42 in Coos County.

    PHILOMATH, Ore. – Benton County deputies are investigating a crash that fatally wounded a boy in the back seat of an SUV on Saturday. According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, at about 5:16 p.m. on April 19, deputies responded to a reported two-vehicle crash on Highway 34 near Grange Hall Road in Philomath.
