The No. 19 Ithaca College football team traveled to Springfield, Massachusetts on Nov. 18, for a first-round matchup with the Springfield College Pride. After coming out victorious over the Pride in the second round of the NCAA tournament in 2022, the Bombers once again proved their dominance with a 21–7 win to survive and advance. Defensively, the Bombers held the Pride scoreless until the final quarter of the game.

The Student Governance Council released the elected candidates April 25 that will serve on the executive board and senate during the 2023–24 academic year. The candidates presented their campaign platforms April 18 and voting occurred April 20 to 24 through a form on IC Engage. For this election cycle, all positions were available to run for including five executive board positions and 24 senate positions.

TAES accepting learning and peer success coach requestsTutoring and Academic Services at Ithaca College will be accepting requests from students for Learning Coaches and Peer Success Coaches until April 7. The TAES is a part of the Center for Student Success and Retention and allows students to connect with Peer Coaches who can help them with academics in general and for specific classes as well.

Ithaca College introduced the new Center for Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging in an email announcement March 23, which will officially open July 1. In the announcement, President La Jerne Cornish said the center is another step toward being a model for institutions promoting diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Cornish said the center’s establishment aligns with the goals of the Ithaca Forever strategic plan.

As a first step in preventing discriminatory behavior at Ithaca College, a climate review of the then-School of Music was conducted in summer 2021 that identified three main sources of tension among faculty and staff: tenure, the school’s environment, and race and gender.
