Total ModelingStudio 344522 Baltimore Ave. PhiladelphiaSeen April 3, 2025Showing April 3 and 4Is this guy gonna flash us? That was my dominating thought while watching “Total Modeling,” a cybernetics-themed clown show running for two days at Studio 34 as part of Philly Theater Week. Spoiler alert: You do get a direct look at Benjamin Stieler’s butt by the end of the performance. You fortunately don’t have to worry about facing a frontal view.

Wanda Gag: Art for Life’s SakePhiladelphia Museum of Art2600 Benjamin Franklin PkwyPhiladelphiaShowing through June 1, 2025Seen March 31In Wanda Gag’s world, an eggbeater is more than a blender — it’s a centerpiece. Eggbeaters, kerosene lamps, sinks and soap dishes are the kind of mundane subjects that the artist sought to bring alive through her rolling and lively black-ink style developed during the early 20th century.

Liisa Nelson, "Dreams"The Clay Studio1425 N American St.PhiladelphiaSeen March 12, 2025Showing from January 15 - March 30, 2025I have no dream car, but I’ve found my fantasy vanity plate. I discovered the vehicle tag for sale while visiting The Clay Studio, and hallucinated how I'd drive with it attached to my back. The license plate is all letters, no numbers. Six characters spelling “SPECIAL” in metallic uppercase. A gold glob of a star on top, alluding to my snowflake state of being.
