Now as we head into spring 2025, it seems Wide Waters restaurant will be getting new life and ownership. Wide Waters Grill & Chill posted to Facebook on April 9, "Hello from the new Wide Waters Grill and Chill Ice Cream! Located across from the historic Wide Waters Marina, right along the canal.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Police Department is asking the community for help in locating 76-year-old Sandra Jardine. Sandra is described by police reports as having brown eyes, grey hair, and stands at 5'5" tall. She weighs approximately 125lbs. Police said that Sandra was last seen at Ripley Place in the City of Buffalo. Anyone with any information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately. Westchester dog rescue looking for missing dogs allegedly being sold in East Aurora

A Westchester dog rescue is looking for the community's help in locating nine dogs that were allegedly stolen and relocated by a former foster to East Aurora where they have been spotted trying to sell the dogs, according to the rescue. In a post made by A Good Dog Rescue on Facebook on Tuesday, April 15 they wrote, "We have more than one witness that our 9 stolen dogs are being sold on the street to anyone in East Aurora NY in front of the bakery pictured below.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo cat cafe is in the running for Newsweek Magazine's 'Reader's Choice Awards for Best Cat Cafe 2025'. Buckminster's Cat Cafe located on Niagara Street is a coffee shop and adoptable cat rescue all combined in one. The cat cafe's owner Molly Hutton named her business after her cat Buckminster, who she adopted from the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter in 2012. Buckminster's is one of 15 cat cafe's in Newsweek's competition.
Hamburg man admits to killing sister in grisly 2022 attack

HAMBURG, N.Y. — A Hamburg man plead guilty Friday to killing his sister. Michael A. Osuch, 67, plead guilty in front of State Supreme CourtJustice Deborah A. Haendiges to one count of manslaughter in the first degree. He pleaded guilty just prior to the start of his jury trial, which was expected to begin in May. Investigators say Osuch had attacked his 91-year-old mother inside their home on Bristol Rd. in the Town of Hamburg in May 2022.

NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. — The Niagara County Sheriff's Office is asking for the community's help in locating 15-year-old Adam Wisniewski. Adam was last seen near Lake Avenue and Old Niagara Road in the Town of Lockport. According to police reports he was last seen wearing red checkered pajamas, black sweatpants, and white crocs. He is known to frequent areas in the City of Lockport. Police describe Adam as a white male with brown hair. He weighs approximately 130 lbs, and stands at 5'8" tall.
Bisons vs Bulls postponed due to rain, new date set

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Bisons have decided to postpone their game tonight against the Durham Bulls Baseball Club due to rain. A makeup game will be played on Saturday, April 12 as a single-admission doubleheader. The first game will begin at 12:35 p.m. and gates open at noon. Fans attending only need one ticket for both games and may arrive at any time during either game. They can also exchange their postponed tickets for any comparable ticket at a later date except July 3rd.
