Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were called to East Road at 7.19am this morning (May 29) with reports of an incident. Two ambulance crews, an incident response officer and a trauma team in a car from London's Air Ambulance were dispatched to the scene. A man was found suffering from leg injuries and was treated before being taken to a major trauma centre as a priority.

Zepheniah Dufeal of Church Street, Edmonton has been sentenced to fourteen years' imprisonment on May 21, after pleading guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent. During his trial at London Inner Crown Court, the court heard how the 18-year-old had got off the same service as his victim at Edmonton Green station, shortly after 8pm on July 16, 2024. Whilst inside the station, Dufeal launched an unprovoked attack on the 84-year-old stranger, striking him to the head.
