MOUNT VERNON, Ohio (WCMH) – Less than one week after being arrested, the son of New Albany church leaders facing over two dozen sexual assault charges, made his first court appearance. 36-year-old Gary “Tom” Keesee Jr., the son of Faith Life Church senior pastors Gary and Drenda Keesee, had his arraignment hearing in Knox County on Wednesday afternoon. He has entered a not guilty plea on all 27 charges he is facing.
Third teenager arrested in death of 14-year-old found shot in South Linden

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Columbus police announced that a third teenager has been arrested in the death of a 14-year-old boy Saturday evening in South Linden. A 15-year-old boy has been added as a suspect by police and was arrested on the west side of Columbus Wednesday by a SWAT team; the boy is charged with murder in connection to the shooting death 14-year-old Lorenzio Galloway Jr.. He is being held at the juvenile detention center.
Woman ordered to pay fine after pig contributed to Pataskala woman’s death

PATASKALA, Ohio (WCMH) — A woman was ordered to pay a fine and was charged with a misdemeanor after another woman’s death in Pataskala was partially caused by a pig on Christmas Day. A Pataskala police officer made a welfare check on Dec. 25 at a house on Mink Street. The caller was concerned when a family member, Rebecca Rigney, did not show up for a holiday gathering and could not get in touch with her. A previous report can be seen in the player above.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — An 18-year-old who was accused of shooting a former Ohio State wrestler will be in prison for the next decade. Elijah Lee received a sentence of at least 10 years after being charged in the shooting of Sammy Sasso on Aug. 18, 2023 in an attempted carjacking, according to the Franklin County prosecutor’s office. Lee received a sentence of between seven and 11.5 years for felonious assault in addition to a three-year firearm specification.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A seven-month-old baby died Wednesday morning after being attacked by a dog in south Columbus. Police said the baby was attacked by the family’s dog inside their home on South Champion Avenue and was taken to the fire station on Parsons Avenue with serious injuries. A spokesperson for the Columbus Division of Fire confirmed the baby’s age as seven months old and that a woman brought the infant to the station.

A source confirmed to NBC4’s Whitney Harding that the Crew have agreed to terms with the Philadelphia Union to acquire Hungarian midfielder Daniel Gazdag. The deal is in the final stages, according to an NBC4 source.
