No. 7 Arkansas lost the series to No. 3 LSU, but did avoid the sweep with a 7-4 win on Sunday while only a home series remains with Tennessee beginning Thursday night. Arkansas (41-11, 18-9) regained sole possession of second place in the SEC with the win over LSU (40-12, 17-10). It was a near four-hour game that saw 14 pitchers take the mound, LSU Coach Jay Johnson ejected for arguing balls and strikes and the game go down to the final pitch.

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas is coming off a sweep over No. 1 Texas, but now Dave Van Horn and the team has turned its attention to facing LSU this weekend in Baton Rouge. Van Horn held the monthly Swatter's Club on Monday. Van Horn was asked if he has seen anything different about the team after the Texas series? "Well, obviously I wasn’t around them but 30 minutes after the game, but I felt like going into the series, I just felt like that they were rested," Van Horn said.

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas has reached into a familiar place in Texas to land Class of 2026 offensive lineman Hugh Smith. Smith, 6-5, 300, is from the same high school that saw wide receiver Robert Haynes IV commit to the Hogs recently, Smith made his announcement on X Tuesday morning. Smith chose the Hogs over offers from 15 other schools. He’s the second offensive lineman to commit to Arkansas for the Class of 2026. He joins Lakeside’s Tucker Young, 6-4, 300.
