    WATERLOO, Iowa — For the second straight night, Waterloo Black Hawks goalie Carter Casey was magnificent in the crease. After a 5-0 final in game 3, a 3-0 shutout win clinches a spot in the Clark Cup championship series for the Black Hawks. Waterloo hasn't been to the Clark Cup finals since 2014, and in their entire franchise history they've only won one Clark Cup championship in 2004. Waterloo will face the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the finals beginning next Wednesday.

    CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The Kernels have secured at least a series tie with the South Bend Cubs, after scoring an 8-7 win on Thursday night. The Cubs and Kernels were tied at 2-2 after four innings. South Bend scored 5 runs combined in the 4th and 5th. But Cedar Rapids outscored the Cubs 6-1 in the final 4 frames to get the win.
