LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — On Thursday, friends and family are gathering at Miller Park in Lynchburg to honor the memory of six-year-old Kingston Campbell. On May 1, 2023, while playing video games in his home on Floyd Street, a bullet fired from outside pierced his bedroom wall and killed him. Two years later his loved ones gathered at nearby Miller Park to hold a service and release balloons in his honor. This is the second year they have held a balloon release.

That child was named Kingston Campbell, and his killer has still not been found.
