The 6-foot, 185-pound right-hander went from a bit player for Rogers last season to a conference starter that helped the Mounties win the Class 6A state championship. For his performance, Canzoneri was named the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Player of the Year. He didn't get the start in the championship game, but stepped in after the Mounties fell behind 3-0 early and gave his team the chance to rally.
