(WCYB) — One of three people charged in the murder of a Greeneville, Tennessee man will spend 16 years in prison. Edward Houser entered a plea agreement on Friday to second-degree murder and aggravated assault in the October 2022 shooting death of 22-year-old Juan Tauscher. He was originally charged with first-degree murder. Houser is 17-years-old. The two others charged in the case were juveniles at the time of the murder but have since turned 18.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A grand jury made an indictment in the decades old murder of a Knoxville police officer. Anthony “Tony” Williams, originally of Sullivan County, Tennessee, was shot and killed on July 7, 1989, while riding a motorcycle. The 24-year-old was off duty at the time. The grand jury found probable cause to indict Johnny Warwick on a first-degree murder charge. Warwick, who was first identified as a suspect in 1989, will not answer the charge in court.

(WCYB) — A Lee County woman on trial for murder in the May 2022 shooting death of her husband has been found guilty of a lesser charge. The trial against Nicole Seidel began earlier this month. She was indicted on charges of first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. According to investigators, Justin Seidel was shot multiple times while he slept on a couch. The defense argued that Nicole Seidel was a victim of domestic violence. Jury deliberations began Tuesday night.
