A PRIVATE school campus – and former holiday home of a prime minister – near Taunton is up for sale. The Grange, at Kingston St Mary, is currently home to Taunton School’s International Middle School, as well as being used as an events space during the school holidays. However, the International Middle School is relocating to the independent school’s main campus at the end of this academic year. As a result, The Grange will be fully vacant by August 31 and is now being listed for sale.

A FOOTBRIDGE in Langport will close for a week to allow “essential maintenance and repairs”. The walkway, which connects the Tesco store and the neighbouring moor over the Northstreet Moor Rhyne, will close to pedestrians on May 27. FORMER Frome College teacher Matthew Jones has been jailed for 12 years for stabbing Emma Kirk at least 15 times in a “brutal and frenzied attack” in a Bath street. Jones, of of Ivy Avenue, Southdown, Bath, attacked 25-year-old Ms Kirk in February last year after she told him they wouldn’t be anything more than friends. He insisted on meeting her in a lane off Dransfield Way so she could hand back gifts he had bought her.
