BREMERTON — On the first day of Zen Ramen's grand opening, customers lined the corner of 15th Street and Wycoff Avenue, waiting for doors to open. The new Japanese restaurant was packed with people by lunchtime. The early crowds likely were influenced by a special event that allowed the first 100 customers to enjoy a free meal. But there's also neighborhood history at play.
