On Tuesday, The Spokesman-Review in Spokane reported the Spokane Teachers Credit Union (STCU) issued a news release that Eckhardt “is no longer with STCU. Ezra intends to pursue other endeavors.” The news release was not posted on the credit union’s website.

On March 7, Wright-Patt sued ATM Solutions in Greene County Common Pleas Court in Xenia, Ohio, alleging nonpayment and claiming ATM Solutions ignored communications. The company acknowledged missing payments but denied ignoring the credit union. Alongside its complaint, Wright-Patt filed an emergency ex parte, no-bond motion for prejudgment attachment, supported by affidavits from Chief Financial Officer Daniel G. Smith and attorney Peter Georgiton.

A former employee for North Carolina’s largest credit union will be sentenced in August after she admitted to making 867 fraudulent transactions that siphoned nearly $80,000 from more than 20 member accounts over two and a half years, federal prosecutors said. Jillian Scott, 31, of Lumberton, pleaded guilty to bank fraud and misuse of Social Security numbers during a federal court hearing last week, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office in Raleigh.

A Montana judge sentenced Kelly Jo Muzzana, a former operations manager for the $609 million Altana Federal Credit Union in Billings, to 12 months and one day in prison for an embezzlement crime that federal prosecutors described as both unique and more egregious than typical payment card thefts. During a court hearing on Wednesday, U.S. District Court Judge Susan P. Watters in Billings also ordered Muzzana, 40, to pay $65,046 in restitution and a $100 assessment fee.
