    The Jericho Mountain fire was burning Sunday about five miles south of MacDonald Pass off U.S. Highway 12 in Powell County. It was listed about 3 p.m. at about 30 acres. Its cause was unknown. A closure order is forthcoming that will close the Helena Ranger District south of Highway 12 in the Boulder Mountains, Forest Service officials said. People are asked to avoid the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail south of Macdonald Pass and north of Luttrell.

Helena City Commission heard objections tonight to any consideration of adopting the gay pride flag as a city flag. No formal proposal is before the council but was discussed earlier. Other Montana cities have either done so or considering. About 5-6 people objected (More)
