Two men charged over an extraordinary $137 million cocaine seizure in WA last year are facing long prison sentences after they pleaded guilty to playing a major role in the drug importation plot. Mate Stipinovich and Aristides Avlonitis were among three men arrested and charged early last year following a bizarre chain of events off the coast of Albany in February 2023, which made international headlines.

Two people — including a man in his mid-70s — are facing serious charges after police allegedly found a huge quantity of meth and cash following a traffic stop and a raid on a Perth home. Bang Trinh, 76 and Hung Cuong Vo, 55, were arrested and charged after police officers conducted a border search area operation at Perth Airport on Tuesday.

Police have allegedly uncovered dozens of 3D-printed guns at a Perth home and buried in bush and have seized millions of dollars worth of methamphetamine — and say they have taken out a “significant’ member of an organised crime gang in the process. A 36-year-old man is facing almost 50 charges after detectives seized 21 privately made 3D-printed firearms, meth and cash during several searches of homes and bushland last week.
