WESTFIELD, IN (WISH) — The city of Westfield will resume its special census this year after receiving an exemption from a federal hiring freeze, city officials announced Wednesday. The U.S. Census Bureau granted the waiver following efforts by U.S. Sen. Todd Young, U.S. Sen. Jim Banks, and Rep. Victoria Spartz, allowing the bureau to begin hiring temporary workers for the enumeration process.
