Local boxer, Slink Proper, is hosting his first fight event under his newly launched promotion, "Proper Promotions." For many of us, one occupation is more than enough, but for Proper, the motivation to wear so many different career hats comes from his 8-year-old son, Keanu. "My son is everything to me," says Proper. Slink hasn’t fought since he suffered just his second career loss back in June 2024 against Nico Ali Walsh, the grandson of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali.

Wolves have opened the qtr on a 26-5 run

Truly a very, very sad loss. Every time I'd walk down the tunnel, Jim was there to greet me with a fist bump & fun conversation about family & hoops. Walking down that tunnel won't be the same. Condolences to his family

JK brilliantly describes the wonderful person that Jim was. Pains me to write that in past tense. Always authentic, as pumped up to watch 5th graders play as he was NBA players. Never steered the conversation toward himself, always was genuinely curious how the family was doing.
