AbstractEarly antibody therapy can prevent severe SARS-CoV-2 infection (COVID-19). However, the effectiveness of COVID-19 convalescent plasma (CCP) therapy in treating severe COVID-19 remains inconclusive. To test a hypothesis that some CCP units are associated with a coagulopathy hazard in severe disease that offsets its benefits, we tracked 304 CCP units administered to 414 hospitalized COVID-19 patients to assess their association with the onset of unfavorable post-transfusion D-dimer trends.

IntroductionClick to copy section linkSection link copied!GaN-based blue and green laser diodes (LDs) have been extensively studied and developed, primarily driven by their significant applications in laser display, solid-state lighting, underwater communication, and other fields. (1−4) Among them, GaN-based VCSELs have garnered significant attention in recent years due to the pursuit of excellent performance characteristics of lasers such as single-mode operation and low-divergence angles.

Enhanced gene transfection ability of sulfonylated low molecular weight PEI and its application in anti-tumor treatment
With the continuous progress of nanotechnology in the field of tumor vaccines, immunotherapy has been regarded as one of the most powerful approaches for cancer treatment. Currently, DNA vaccines were used to efficiently deliver the plasmid encoding tumor associated antigen to antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and enhance the activation of immune cells.

AbstractBackground The clinical relevance of differentiating between mTICI (modified Thrombolysis In Cerebral Infarction) 2b and mTICI 3 in patients with vertebrobasilar artery occlusion (VBAO) remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate whether mTICI 3 improves functional outcomes compared with mTICI 2b in patients with VBAO and whether this improvement differs according to extent of ischemic damage.
