    12:13 am No. 1 Pitt volleyball swept both Virginia and Virginia Tech on a weekend trip to Virginia. Pitt (21-1 ACC 11-1) made easy work of the teams and used the time to flesh out its roster. Starting off in Charlottesville, Virginia, the Panthers held the Cavaliers at a -.011 hitting percentage. Pitt made light work of UVA, going on several runs with the sets ending at 25-9, 25-9 and 25-15.

    Pitt XC posts strong showing at ACC ChampionshipsPitt cross-country traveled to Cary, North Carolina, to compete in the ACC Championships this weekend. The women’s team completed a 6k and the men’s team completed an 8k on the WakeMed Soccer Park. Both teams posted solid showings with the men coming in 13th and the women following suit in 16th out of the 17 and 18 team fields respectively. The Pitt women’s team finished with 410 points.

    Pitt women’s soccer (9-6-3, 3-5-2 ACC) concluded conference play with a 3-2 loss against No. 13 Notre Dame last Thursday. The loss extended its losing streak to three, and Pitt finished the regular season at No. 11 in the ACC while unranked nationally. As a result, the Panthers will not advance to the ACC Championships. Pitt’s losses this season took a similar form each time.
