LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Neighbors of the owner of an emu that got loose and eventually died in South Lansing Thursday afternoon say he has been causing issues for years. On Friday, 6 News spoke with neighbors who said this was nowhere near the first time the owner’s animals have gotten loose, and court records confirmed this. BATH, Mich. (WLNS) – The American flag was raised high as people supported veterans, gold star families, and first responders at a golf celebration on Friday. The organization Holes for Heavenly Heroes held the golf celebration at Eagle Eye Golf Course to raise money for veteran organizations. The event began with the East Lansing Fire Department raising the American flag using their fire truck. The color guard performed, then everyone stood for the national anthem.

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – The City of Lansing is suing a landlord, accusing him of renting out red-tagged homes, and Thursday, he appeared in court. A show cause hearing was held on Thursday, and 6 News spoke with the defendant, Christian Nwobu, who records show is responsible for at least 42 properties in the City of Lansing.
