NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A church in North Charleston will offer members of the community the chance to take home donated household items for free this Saturday. Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church will give away items like diapers, small kitchen appliances, clothing, shoes, and bookbags while supplies last. The church’s senior pastor, Byron Benton, says the goods are coming from Dallas on behalf of World Vision, an organization the church partners with.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - Scheduled road closures will be in effect Monday morning for Charleston’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. The first road to close will be Radcliffe Street between Rutledge Avenue and King Street for the parade lineup starting at 9 a.m.At 9:30 a.m., King Street will close from Radcliffe Street to Calhoun Street. At 9:50 a.m., the entirety of the parade route, pictured below, will be closed down in anticipation of the parade’s 10 a.m. start.

WACO, Texas (KWTX/Gray News) - A woman allegedly hit her boyfriend with a glass salsa jar after seeing him at a bar with another woman, according to police. Jessyka Holley-Lujan was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and assault causing injury. According to the arrest warrant, the victim was at a restaurant with another woman Monday when someone took a picture of them and sent it to Holley-Lujan.

Bishop Johnie Johnson marked his 101st birthday on Monday. He recently shared his experience serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II. “Well, if we didn’t fight and the other side would have won, I don’t know what America would look like,” he said.
